CFD DFM (Direct Fed Microbial)
The CFD DFM (Direct Fed Microbial) is a blend of yeast, yeast cell wall, beneficial bacteria and enzymes that promotes a healthy microbiome in the gut.
CFD DFM has been designed to combine multiple beneficial products into one convenient package that helps support a healthy gut.
Live Yeast: LIve yeast have been shown to help buffer the rumen environment. This allows beneficial rumen bacteria to flourish and helps stimulate an efficient rumen fermentation.
Yeast Cell Wall: This specifically selected strain of yeast has been shown to have a negative effect on multiple strains of E. coli and salmonella. This component also has been shown to enhance the humoral and imporve cell-mediated immune resonse to diseases - a benefit at the local gut level.
Lactic Acid Bacteria: a blend of 5 beneficial bacteria complete with bad bacteria for resources in the gut. By increasing their numbers by using CFD DFM, competition is increased and the bad bacteria have less chances of populating the gut.
Enzymes: CFD DFM contains enzymes produced by aspergillus oryzae, a fungus that has been shown to help with fiber breakdown. These enzymes, coupled with a favorable rumen environment generated by the live yeast, help fiber digesting bacteria in the rumen do their job.
Feed rates:
Healthy mature cattle: 0.10 pounds per head per day
Mature cattle experiencing a challenge: 0.20 pounds per head per day
Growing cattle: 0.05 pounds per head per day
Growing cattle experiencing a challenge: 0.10 pounds per head per day
