Bacteria are microscopic, single cell organisms. The bacteria in 10-G have been freeze dried to place them in a state of dormancy. This keeps them viable until you are ready to use them. Once reactivated with moisture, they begin to divide and do so very rapidly. Lactic Acid Bacteria consume sugars and produce lactic acid in this process. They are sensitive to heat and will begin to die at 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Care must be taken in the management of the product in order to receive the benefits this product provides.
